The Art of the Consequence
The Art of the Consequence
Unfortunately, there is a lot of confusion about what a consequence is and what a consequence is not. In this class, we will sort through all of that.
We will learn:
The real purpose of consequences
The difference between punishment, discipline, and consequences
The two essential elements in effective consequences
How to really mess up a consequence
How to get consequences to do
Effective consequences save us a huge amount of time and energy. They also shut down conflict and avoid hard feelings.
Really effective consequences get children make themselves behave and take responsibility for themselves - our ultimate goal.
This class has been a game-changer for many parents. It will change the way you think about discipline and parent/child relationships.
*My goal is to teach this class once a month.
If you can’t make a class, just sign up for the next one.
*If you have scheduling preferences, please let me know. At the moment, I don’t really know which is better for most parents: weekday or weekend; morning, afternoon, or evening. Whether you sign up for a class or not, your input would be greatly appreciated. james@lovingandeffective.com THANKS!
